Welcome to the Boys and Girls Club of Durant official website.

 

The Boys and Girls Club of Durant provides its members with a variety of programs.  Every member takes part in Power Hour offering homework help to every member.  The programs offered at the Boys and Girls club have two aspects: social recreation and education.  The social recreation programs take place in P.E. and in our social recreation room (game room).  Social recreation emphasizes on teaching responsibility, leadership, and teamwork.  The education side of our programs include the education room and the cultural enrichment room.  Education allows the members to explore things they may not learn about in school.  Members learn about different places, people, and things from around the world.  Cultural Enrichemnt gives members self expression outlets.  They will learn other cultures and apply cultural expression to their own lives.

 

 

The Boys and Girls Club of Durant is open Monday through Friday.  While school is in session the club is open after school until 7:00 PM.  We are open when school is out from 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM.  The club is closed for holidays.

The Boys and Girls Club of Durant has some job openings!We have work study positions for any eligible SE students. Workers can get 20 hours a week. Contact Larry Paschal at 580-579-2423 for more information.

Below is a list for the 2015 After school NEW MEMBERSHIP FEES along with 2015 Summer program weekly fees.

Yearly Membership fee:

     $25.00 (per member)

 

Weekly Program fees: (not on free or reduced lunch) 

      $15.00 (per week/ per member)

 

Weekly Program Fees on Free or Reduced Lunch:

      $10.00 (per week/ per member)

 

Summer Weekly Fees:

     $35.00 (per week/ per member)

 

 

 

Scholarship Requirements

 

The Boys and Girls Club of Durant offers Scholarships based on hardships for Yearly Membership, Weekly Program Fees or Summer Weekly Program Fees based on the decision made by the CEO and Program Director. Some of the areas and circumstances that are taken into consideration are listed below:

·         Family Total Income.

·         Financial Status of Parent/Legal Guardian.

·         How many children are Boys & Girls Club of Durant Members?

·         How many children per household?

 

 

Each family that has been granted one of the Scholarships listed above because of their hardship must meet 1 of the following monthly requirements:

·         Volunteer at least 5 hours per month in the Boys & Girls Club.

·         Make a monthly donation to the Boys & Girls Club that will be utilized in Program areas: Paper, pencils, school and art supplies or sports equipment.

·         Donate nutritional snacks or juices for the members to have for snack time.

 

All decisions will be finalized by the Boys & Girls Club of Durant CEO and Program Director.
